More than just an event!
At IPS Group UK, exhibiting at events like Parkex isn’t just about sales pipelines and lead generation. For the team, it’s a chance to embody the values that define us as a business. From innovation and integrity to teamwork and social responsibility, we see events as an opportunity to connect with people in a way that’s meaningful, authentic, and true to who we are.
One of the most rewarding, recent expressions of this came at Parkex 2025, where we ran a charity prize draw.
Whether it’s donning Christmas jumpers to raise funds or supporting our team in their personal fundraising efforts, giving back is part of our culture. So when we thought about how we could bring that spirit to Parkex, a charity prize draw felt like the perfect fit. It wasn’t just a way to draw visitors to the stand; it was a chance to support causes that matter.
We wanted to do something more than the usual event giveaways, something that created real impact. By inviting entrants to nominate a charity of their choice, we opened the door to a broad spectrum of causes, from national organisations to smaller local charities that often go under the radar.
Rather than donating a lump sum to a single charity, we decided to spread the support. Across the two days of Parkex, we selected four winners and made donations to the causes they nominated:
- A Children’s Charity in Leicestershire (nominated by Finley Jones at Leicestershire County Council)
- Save The Children (nominated by Liviu Azoicai at Stevenage Council)
- Prostate Cancer Research (nominated by Paula Parker at East Riding of Yorkshire Council)
- Cats Protection – Hemel Hempstead (nominated by Sonya Packett at Watford Council)
The response exceeded our expectations! The diversity of nominated charities was truly inspiring and reminded us of why we do what we do. Events give us the platform to connect, collaborate, and contribute – not just to the industry, but to society more broadly.
Safe to say this charity prize draw won’t be our last. As we continue to grow and attend more events, we’ll keep finding ways to turn footfall into real impact and to ensure that everything we do reflects the values we stand for.
